"There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process." ~by Paul O'Neil, 1965~

My inspiration to start this blog was from my #2, who is also a fly-fisherman (partly in training), and a fellow blogger.  (refer to key below for identification of family members)
Since #2 is a teenager, in addition to "knowing it all",  he also knows how to maneuver through the logistics of creating a blog.  He is my "go to guy"  for technology questions in addition to just  surpassing me in height.  Thanks, #2!
Ok, so The big guy loves this sport.  The lady loves to take pictures and travel.  What better partnership could we have? He loves to fish and has fun buying all these cool, pretty flies, and I love to take pics of him trying to catch a big one!  A win-win for us all.....for sure....   So I make sure the big guy fishes at interesting places.  We try and take 2 cars (so he can fish 'till his hearts content without us bugging him to leave early), and #3 and I do some hiking, exploring, and have some photo shoots.  The big guy and #2 try and catch some dinner.  (well, they release them all but we can pretend that they catch dinner....)
So begins our blogging adventure.  Now I might have to be evasive about the location of certain fishing holes.  Since the big guy is also a hunter, I have been taught some very hard lessons about not telling the guy next door "Wow, did you see that 12 pointer out back the other day".. or  "lots of bucks on the corner of your property every night at sunset"..  Bad...bad...bad to disclose that information.  I should be saying "wow,  that 12 pointer I saw the other night probably left the area and must be miles from here by now"...  or  ... "no.. the big guy hasn't gotten one yet.  The trophy one he was hunting ran off into the park,  in that big area thats really swampy near your property.;"  Yes, I have mended my evil ways and know how to keep my mouth shut about sensitive scouting information.
Soooo.... onward with my documenting our moments of fly fishing, hiking, photography, and family!
